While the Top Penthouse concept is a recent arrival to New York, the team has more than 75 years of construction experience in all aspects of the industry. Based on this background, the principal Myriam Castillo and associate, Padraig Tarrant, developed a better way to build. She formed the company specifically to utilize off site construction and maximize efficiency in the New York market. Through market research she discovered that there are hundreds of potential development sites in Manhattan's low-scale residential neighborhoods. With sales prices exceeding $1,200 per square foot, the financial incentive was clear.

The principal and her team of experts put together a complete package for each site, including feasibility studies, a geotech survey, architectural drawings, engineering plans, development schedules and cost analyses. In addition to working with individual owners, coop and condominium boards, the principal is skilled at conversion projects (such as industrial to residential) and institutional projects.
